For those who don't drop.
The Quick Wick Pro uses a super rigid 1x7 cable spine for a much sturdier feel and a smaller wick head for the most ultra-light fire hoop possible. The drawback of an extra-rigid spine is a certain amount of decreased shock-absorption. What does this mean? A greater chance of bending or damaging the clamp when dropped. Is the risk worth it? YES.
The wicks heads are about 33% smaller than those on standard Quick Wicks. This reduction in weight & size also means a certain amount of reduced fuel capacity, flame size and burn time. Burn time depends on type of fuel used, flow speed, and other variables. Contact us if you have any questions!
(measured by the Outside Diameter of your tubing)
* The 1.5" and 2.3" sizes are achieved by attaching an additional bare 3/4 clamp (or two for the 2.3" size) onto a regular 3/4 Quick Wick. This increases the clamping range to accommodate larger the diameters for things such as Lyras, Bicycles, Poles, etc..
If you are unsure of the Outside Diameter of your tubing (not hoop OD), please measure it. It is important to get the correct size Quick Wick®.
Note: a clamp meant for larger tubing can be clamped down onto thinner tubing, but the "tail" from the belt of the clamp will stick out further and can snag on your clothing or scratch you.
The increments are small so precision counts. If you can't measure the Diameter of your tubing, but have measuring tape (or a piece of string), you can measure the circumference..
5/8" Diameter = 1.96" Circumference
3/4" Diameter = 2.35" Circumference
...and so on... D = C / pi
